Metro Centre: A Peoria Staple Since 1971

Metro Centre: A Peoria Staple Since 1971

Big-hearted real estate developer Marvin Goodman founded the Metro Centre over 50 years ago. His dream was to create a shopping experience unlike any other in the heart of Peoria. A place where locally owned businesses could flourish and realize dreams of their own.

After five decades of storied success, it’s safe to say Marvin’s vision came to fruition. Today, his grandson, Eric Brinker, carries on his legacy, ensuring the Metro Centre remains a beloved fixture of Peoria’s shopping scene. You can feel the history when strolling through the friendly confines. You can also see history — on their vibrant interactive mural, “Find Yourself,” showcasing dozens of iconic Peoria landmarks and symbols.
