Originally from Chicago, Nikki Romain wasn’t sure what she was getting into when she first moved to Peoria. But very quickly, she discovered a welcoming community and lifelong friendships. As Executive Director of ART Inc., the nonprofit arts organization she co-founded with her husband, Nikki is on a mission to inspire Peoria’s youth through arts and culture, having transformed a vacant school building into a vibrant and bustling hub of activity.
