Liberty Steel’s local facility is one of the largest wire and steel mills in the U.S., producing 700,000 tons of steel annually. O’Brien Steel, founded in East Peoria in 1975, operates seven specialized facilities for steel supply, cutting, maching, fabrication and heat treatment.
