25 Illinois Central College Alumni Leading in Greater Peoria

Dr. Keith Knepp, President of Carle Health Greater Peoria and a 1991 ICC graduate, was honored with the 2024 Distinguished Alumnus Award for his visionary leadership and contributions to regional healthcare.

Since 1967, Illinois Central College (ICC) has been a linchpin of education in Greater Peoria, earning its reputation as one of the nation’s top community colleges. As a launchpad for success, ICC equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to excel in their careers and make a difference in their communities. ICC’s not just any ole Community College — it’s an engine of opportunity with more than 150 programs of study.

Under the leadership of Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey, ICC has been a pipeline of growth and talent development in Greater Peoria, creating abundant opportunities for students while addressing the region’s economic needs. In other words, ICC not only empowers students to achieve their dreams but also strengthens the fabric of our community.

Below are 25 ICC alumni who are a testament to what’s possible with a foundation built at ICC. These individuals lead the way in their industries and make meaningful contributions to the world around them; proving greatness often begins at a Community College that invests in its people and region.

Blaine Adams – CEO, River Valley Pipe, LLC
Blaine drives innovation at River Valley Pipe, LLC, ensuring excellence in operations. His leadership fosters local economic growth and sets a high standard for success. Under his guidance, RVP has become an industry leader in the drainage tile game.

Rita AliMayor, City of Peoria Rita Ali has been shaping Peoria’s future since 2021 as our mayor, but her impact on the community spans a lifetime. As a teenager, she broke new ground by becoming the first youth member on the boards of the Community Action Agency and the Peoria Police Community Relations Committee. She continued to blaze trails as the first Director of Multi-Cultural Student Services and the inaugural Vice President of Workforce and Diversity at Bradley University. In 2019, she brought her visionary leadership to the Peoria City Council as an At-Large member.

In 2021, Rita made history as the first woman and person of color elected Mayor of Peoria. Since then, her leadership has transformed the city. One of her signature initiatives, the Peoria Role Model Project, has connected 150 young people from underserved neighborhoods with professionals from diverse backgrounds, inspiring the next generation of leaders.

Bridget Booker – President and Founder, Reign Construction Bridget Booker is a trailblazer in the construction industry, founding Reign Construction — the first union ironwork contracting company in Illinois owned and operated by a Black woman. As the first Black journeywoman in Ironworkers Local 112, Bridget broke barriers and set new standards for excellence. Under her leadership, Reign Construction has delivered impactful projects for organizations like the Minority Business Development Center, Ameren, OSF Healthcare headquarters and Peoria International Airport. Bridget’s work strengthens our community’s infrastructure and paves the way for future generations of leaders in skilled trades.

Sean Cain – President, Morton Buildings Sean leads Morton Buildings with precision and care, providing exceptional construction services. His leadership ensures lasting quality and community trust. He has overseen projects that contribute significantly to agriculture, residential and commercial sectors across the nation.

Patrick Caplis – CEO, Solvera Health
Patrick oversees Solvera Health, ensuring accessible and high-quality healthcare services. His dedication enhances the health and well-being of the community. Through Patrick’s leadership, Solvera Health has expanded its reach, bringing advanced medical care to underserved areas.

Ron Givens – CEO, GIVSCO

Katie Kim – CEO, Kim Group

Keith Knepp – President, Carle Health Greater Peoria Dr. Keith Knepp, a 1991 graduate of Illinois Central College, has advanced from his early days as a physician in Eureka, Illinois, to his current role as President of Carle Health Greater Peoria. Under his leadership, Carle Health has expanded its services, notably opening the Trillium Place Young Minds Center, a state-of-the-art facility devoted to addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents aged 4 to 17. Dr. Knepp’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access and outcomes has significantly benefited the Greater Peoria community.

Micheline “Michy” Maloof – Founder & CEO, Sculpt Mode Fitness Michy has been a driving force for positive change her entire life. Since launching Sculpt Mode in 2017, she’s created a space where people unleash their inner strength, build confidence and form lasting friendships. Her passion for giving back started at Illinois Central College, where she supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, following her grandfather’s legacy as a co-founder of its first affiliate outside Memphis. Michy also champions inclusivity through the “Changing the Face of Beauty” initiative, pushing for more diverse representation in media and retail. A true leader, she’s been recognized with ICC’s Alumnus of the Last Decade Award and continues to uplift and inspire her community every day.

Chris McCall – Lead Attorney/Owner, McCall Law Offices and Palarte Frida
